History

On September 10, 2000, with 56 students on roll, Emmanuel Christian Academy officially opened its doors as a nursery, kindergarten and elementary institution, using the A Beka Book curriculum. We currently have a population of over 480 students, 40 permanent staff and an average class size of 24 students. The success of our leap of faith has indeed confirmed that GOD IS WITH US.

The vision of Emmanuel Baptist Church to establish a Christian school that would impact the lives of our students in strong visible ways has become a reality, and we have laid a solid foundation for the school’s growth and development.

We have accomplished much over the past eight years that has contributed to the mental, physical and spiritual development of our students.

Our history has not been without its challenges, but we can say truly that God has been with us, and to Him be all the glory, great things He has done.

ECA began with 14 classrooms. In 2002, a new block was built to accommodate three more classrooms, administrative offices and a library. A trailer was converted to create a small classroom and faculty dining room in 2005. By the summer of 2006, three new classrooms [later divided into four] were built over the church to meet our growing needs.
